We decided to make shepherd’s pie last night for dinner and ended up turning them into Mini Sheep Shepherd Pie! We think they turned out so cute and my boys thought they were adorable! They are very easy to make as well.
Mini Sheep Shepherd’s Pie
- Homestyle Biscuits
- Mashed Potatoes
- Ground Turkey
- Onion
- Ketchup
- Garlic
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Black Olive
How To Make Mini Shepherd’s Pie
- Start out by heating your oven to 375. Spray a muffin pan with cooking spray.
- Press each biscuit on the bottoms and sides.
- Sauté the onion and then add the ground turkey and garlic. Drain after cooking.
- Sprinkle some cheese on the bottom of the biscuits then fill with the ground turkey.
- We added just a little more cheese on top of the ground turkey.
- You will have a little bit of turkey left over to decorate the tops.
- Pipe on the cooked mashed potatoes using a icing bag or baggie with the corner snipped off.
- Use your left over ground turkey to make the head, ears, and feet and then pipe a little more mashed potatoes on top.
- Bake at 375 for about 20-25 minutes. We used a little bit of mashed potatoes make the eyes. We cut up a black olive to make the pupils and nose.
Aren’t they SO cute?!

This is so cute! Seeing this inspired me to make my own vegetarian version and add a lion.
These are just gorgeous! Your recipe for shepherds pie looks pretty different from the English version, but it does look absolutely delicious anyway. I may have to surprise the family with this extra cute way of presenting it!

That is hilarious! I have to pin these because my daughters will go nuts over them. Love 'em!
I wondered if you have all the kids on your street coming over to see what you're having for dinner?? This is so cute!
