Easy Minecraft Cake

My oldest son just adores this game and he requested a Minecraft cake for his birthday. My 8 year old stepped in and helped create this cake. I was pressed for time and we used some of the candies we had on hand. This ended up being very easy to make and I had a lot of fun making this!

Ingredients You’ll Need

How To Make a Minecraft Cake

  • Start out by making your cakes in 2 9 x 13 pans lined with foil.
  • Bake the cake and let it cool. Pull the cake out of the pan and cut pieces of the cake to fit on your platter. Stack the corners.
  • Add green food coloring in your frosting and frost the tops of the cake.
  • Cut the Rice Krispie treats in half and place them on the end. This will be the sand.
  • Add the blue gel icing in the middle to look like water.

  1. Thank you for giving me ideas and the confidence to make a ‘minecraft cake’ for my grandson’s 5th birthday. What an excellent job you did on the characters; very creative. I’ll probably just buy mine since I don’t have the artistic skills.  Thanks again!

  2. My kids haven't gotten into it, but I know some who have. It turned out really cute. Love the pig.
