  • Lime- You’ll want to use freshly squeezed lime.
  • Tomato- You’ll use Roma tomatoes which work best.
  • Onion- I used yellow onion but you could use red onion as well.

How To Make A Guacamole Christmas Appetizer

  • Dice your onion, tomato and cilantro.
  • Scoop out the avocados into a large bowl. Top them with the rest of the ingredients.
  • Juice the limes and add that to the bowl.
  • Mash everything together until it’s the consistency you like. We like ours a little chunky.
  • Put the guacamole into a Christmas tree bowl or platter.
  • To decorate, cut thin strips of the red bell pepper. Use a tiny round cutter to cut out small circles from the other peppers.
  • Cut out a star from the yellow pepper using a star cookie cutter. Place 3-4 black olives on the bottom for the trunk.
  • Place your Christmas tree dish on a platter and add your chips.

How To Pick Ripe Avocados?

Ready to eat, ripe avocados should be slightly firm but not super soft. Press on the avocado and it should have some give to it. Also, look for avocados that still have the small brown stem attached.
