Animal Cookie Truffles combine yummy frosted animal cookies, cream cheese and chocolate. They’re absolutely delicious and completely beautiful!
This is definitely not our first time baking with animal cookies. In fact, we recently made a yummy cheesecake with them. Plus, truffles are the best aren’t they? These Gingerbread Oreo Truffles are definitely a favorite. Now onto the recipe!
Animal Cookie Truffles
One of my favorite things about this recipe, besides how tasty it is, is that it’s no-bake. They are incredibly simple to make.
First, puree your animal cookies. Have you ever pureed cookies before?! It’s so much fun. Seriously. If you don’t have that option, you can do it the old fashioned way by placing cookies into a plastic bag and crushing them by hand.
After that, combine the crumbs with your softened cream cheese and roll them into balls. Let them sit in the fridge for an hour.
Finally, melt your vanilla almond bark and dip the truffle in while it’s warm.
Add sprinkles and let it cool. Voila!
Get Creative!
Of course, you could get all sorts of creative with this recipe and change the animal cookies to Nutter Butters or Oreos. Or use dark chocolate. Or use all sorts of different sprinkle colors.
This is what I love about spending time in the kitchen: you can take a recipe you love and re-use it in different ways over and over again.
These will be awesome for a birthday party, a baby shower or just a day when you want a yummy sweet treat.
Enjoy!
