Strawberry Glazed Donuts

This donut recipe couldn’t be easier to make and just requires a donut pan. There’s no frying or extra fat. Homemade donuts are always such a huge hit in my house and this is a simple recipe for the kids to help make. Ingredients You Will Need

  • Butter and Oil – you will need unsalted butter and vegetable oil.
  • Sugar – granulated sugar is used for the donut batter and powdered sugar is used for the glaze.
  • Eggs – 2 large eggs – this helps to bind all the ingredients.
  • Flavor – you will need vanilla extract. This gives a nice flavor combined with the strawberries.
  • Milk – this is used for the donut batter and the glaze.
  • Dry ingredients – all-purpose flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Strawberries – fresh strawberries are used in this doughnut recipe.

How To Make Strawberry Donuts

Here is how to make and bake these donuts. This doughnut recipe doesn’t need an electric mixer!

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Spray your donut pans with a non-stick baking spray.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the milk, oil, sugar, egg, butter, and vanilla.
  • Add your dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix in food coloring (optional).
  • Gently fold in your strawberries.
  • Spoon batter into donut pan
  • Bake for 9-10 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let cool 10 minutes.

To make the glaze:

  1. Whisk together the powdered sugar and milk.
  2. Pour your glaze over the donuts
  3. Enjoy!

Storing and Freezing Strawberry Donuts:

How long will baked donuts last?

This donut recipe is best the day they are made but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The glaze will absorb into the baked donuts when stored, but will still be delicious!

Can you freeze baked donuts?

Yes! Store in an airtight freezer container for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight and enjoy! It’s best to add the glaze once the donuts are thawed.

  • Add your dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and then stir in food coloring (optional).
  • Fold in your strawberries and then spoon batter into donut pan (or use a piping bag).
  • Bake for 9-10 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let cool 10 minutes.

Glaze:

  • In a medium sized mixing bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk.
  • Place a piece of foil under the wire rack with the donuts to catch any glaze.
  • Pour your glaze from the bowl onto the donuts.

  1. So I cooked these exactly as written and the donuts aren’t even close to cooked after 10 minutes. Are you sure 350 degrees is the correct temp?
