Similarly, be careful of the artificial sweetener Xylitol. You can enjoy it, but don’t leave food sweetened with it where your dogs can get to it. It’s poisoning them.
Corgi-Con Will Make You Want 1,000 Corgis
Maybe you should sit down for this. The cuteness is almost too much.
Twice a year, corgis and their owners from all over the country descend on a beach in San Franciso for a party like no other. In June and then again in October, Corgi-Con throws a shindig… and it’s spectacular.
More than 1,000 corgis show up and show off for the event which benefits Queen’s Best Stumpy Dog Rescue.
The pooches come dressed as superheroes, astronauts, pirates, ballerinas and some love to pretend to be unicorns.
Hmm. Would that be a Corgicorn? Or should it be a Unicorgi? Tough choice. Your thoughts?

Forget reindeer games.
Corgi games are what’s up! There are corgi races and costume contests. There are pats on the head and belly rubs as far as the eye can see. It’s competitive though. Just ask the fur babies who enter the Corgi Ninja Warrior event.
Corgis have quite a history.
I’m not a corgi historian by any means, but here’s what I know.
There are two types of Welsh corgis: the Pembroke Welsh corgi and the Cardigan Welsh corgi. They are considered two entirely different breeds because they come from different ancestors.
Queen Elizabeth II, the fancy lady with all the pillbox hats and sparkly crowns, has had more than 30 corgis in her lifetime. I guess you could call her a fan.
The Welsh call them enchanted dogs. They say the markings on a corgi’s coat are the faint outline of a saddle and harness where fairies ride. (That’s adorable.)
