Crockpot Candy is one of the easiest holiday treats to make at Christmas. It is a combination of an assortment of chocolates with peanuts and almonds, topped with colorful sprinkles.
Some of my Christmas recipes are ones like this: simple and fun. I love making Chocolate Christmas Tree Pretzels, Christmas Crack and Grinch Popcorn. My kids are big fan of these also.
Crockpot Candy
This Crockpot chocolate candy has quickly risen to one of the desserts I make the most around the holidays. I like that I can toss my ingredients into the slow cooker and let it do almost all of the work for me!
Ingredients:
- Almond Bark
- Chocolate Chips
- White Chocolate Chips
- Peanuts
- Almonds
- Butter
- Sprinkles
How To Make Crockpot Candy
One of the things I love most about this is how easy it is to make. Just put all of your different chocolates in your slow cooker along with the nuts. Set the temperature to low and let it sit for an hour.
Stir the candy and then scoop spoonfuls into clusters on a parchment paper lined baking mat.
Cover in your favorite holiday sprinkles (I like to use at least two different kinds) and let them harden for about an hour.
Is This Trisha Yearwood Crockpot Candy?
No, this is not her exact recipe, but it is very similar, albeit a little better if I do say so myself! One of the main differences is that her recipes only call for peanuts and we add in almonds as well.
Candy Variations
You can choose to make this custom however you like it. Ttry different kinds of nuts like pecans or chopped walnuts.
You could also add in other treats like coconut, M&M’s, or peanut butter chocolate chips.
Change up the look by switching from red and green Christmas sprinkles to blue and white snowflakes for a winter theme. Or pink and purple for a sugar plum fairy theme.
This is a really fun recipe to get creative with. Enjoy!

I wonder, has anyone tried to grease cookie cutters and pour the chocolate in to make Christmas cut outs?
Hi Carol. That sounds like a great idea! Let us know if you try it.
What kind of peanuts do I use? Cocktail, dry roasted, no salt, salted?
Shelly, what ever you prefer. All will work.
If you can’t find the chocolate almond bark, is there something else I should substitute with? I really want to make this
These are great! I used what I had on hand. So I used 2 rows of white almond bark with the chocolate almond bark plus a bag of chocolate chips. The rest was the same. So easy to make! I’ve made it twice. The 2nd time I left off the sprinkles, since it was after Christmas.
This sounds so easy and good. I have some Andes chocolate chips I will use to give it a little mint flavor also.
