How to Keep this a Chewy Brownie Recipe

If you love a great chewy brownie recipe, you are going to love these brownies. When you are making these brownies, one of the most important things to do to keep these chewy brownies is to slightly under bake them. Not by a lot but by a minute or so. In the notes, there is a variation for cake-like brownies, but for chewy brownies, stick with the main version of this recipe. Cake-like brownies taste amazing but they are not as chewy as fudgelike brownies.

Ingredients for Oreo Brownies

  • Brownie Mix
  • eggs
  • oil
  • milk
  • Oreo’s with orange filling
  • Milk chocolate frosting
  • White or Vanilla frosting
  • Orange food coloring gel

How to Make Oreo Halloween Brownies

Add brownie mix, eggs, oil and milk together in a blender and beat on high until all of the ingredients are mixed together smooth. Put a piece of parchment paper in a 9*9 inch pan. Add the brownie batter.

Place the Oreo Cookies on top of the brownie batter is covered. Place the pan in the oven at 350 degrees for 25 – 30 minutes.  Remove the pan, and allow to cool completely.
While the brownies are cooling, place the white vanilla frosting in a bowl and add the orange middle of 10 Oreos to the frosting. Then add 1 teaspoon of orange gel to the bowl and mix well. If you want a brighter color, add more food coloring. When Brownies are cool, ice with the Orange frosting, and place the Brownies in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Cut Brownies into 3 X 2 inch squares, and serve immediately.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Brownie Mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup of oil
  • 1/3 cup of milk
  • 1 Package of Oreo's with orange filling
  • 1 can of Milk chocolate frosting
  • 1 can of White or Vanilla frosting
  • Orange food coloring gel

Instructions

  • In the mixing bowl of a stand mixer, place the Brownie mix, eggs, oil, and milk, and blend on medium with the whisk attachment until all the ingredients are mixed smooth.
  • Place Parchment paper in the bottom of a 9X9 inch pan, and pour the Brownie mix in the pan.
  • Place Oreo cookies on top of the Brownie batter, until the top is covered in cookies.
  • Place the pan in the oven at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes.
  • Remove the pan, and allow it to cool completely.
  • While the Brownies are cooling, place the White, or Vanilla Frosting in a bowl, and remove the orange middle of about 10 Oreo cookies, and add to the Vanilla frosting Add 1 teaspoon of Orange food coloring gel, and mix well.
  • Add more food coloring gel if the desired Orange color is not bright enough until the desired color is achieved.
  • When Brownies are cool, ice with the Orange frosting, and place the Brownies in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the Brownies from the refrigerator and frost with the chocolate frosting, and crumble the Remainder of the Oreo cookies on top of the Brownies.
  • Cut Brownies into 3 X 2-inch squares, and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

NOTE: For more cake-like Brownies; add 3 eggs instead of 2 when making the brownies. Brownies will keep, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. You can also serve with Ice cream or Whipped cream.
