One of my favorite party dips is this slow cooker hamburger cheese dip. It can be served with tortilla chips or regular potato chips. It can be served with crackers and it works well with vegetables like celery and peppers. Honestly, this hamburger and cheese dip is so good, I can eat it by the spoonful.
Can I Use Ground Turkey?
What is great about this cheeseburger dip is that it is very versatile. You can make it with ground beef like the recipe says or you can use ground turkey or ground pork. Another option is to use ground sausage. Any of these ground meats will taste fantastic with this dip. Also, each meat will add a slightly different taste.

This dip is delicious was a big hit with hubby. Froze a bunch for a quick snack.
Great easy to make for the games today
It was good but much better using Pace Picante Salsa instead of Rotel tomato.
Have made this for years- instead of the spices listed I used a bag of taco seasoning- can use amount as per spicy you like
This dip was a huge hit! How can I convert this to a soup?!
I would think adding beef stock/broth to thin it out.
5 stars. Great dip have made it for years
This is my all time favorite appetizer! Easy to make and everyone loves it
This stuff is dangerously good!! I love it. Thanks so much.
Some ingredients are not available world-wide (currently I live in Great Britain) like Velveeta so you have to adapt. Not sure if the taste will come out the same, but I will give it a go. Thank you!
Put a can of chili in it but good brand and make it a chili cheeseburger dip.
I put a can of chili and a can of Campbell’s Nacho soup and ground beef. Simple and very addictive.
For years I’ve been making this. My recipe is slight dif.
Sausage browned
1 block Velveeta
2 can rotel
Onion optional
That’s it! It’s the rave!
I am definitely going to try out this recipe!
easier recipe….99% lean ground beef fried up – no grease to drain, Rotel diced tomatoes with jalapeños, 1 cup whole (Vit D) milk. 2# Veleveta mexican cheese. Cut the cheese up, dump it all into the crock pot, start on low and let it simmer all day. Stir once every couple hours.
I don’t like tomatoes or jalapenos so I just use Hormel Chili without beans (in a can) and mix that with Velveeta cheese and a little milk for creaminess. I might have to try it with a can of cream of bacon soup to see how that tastes.
Can I substitute cream of celery instead of using cream of mushroom my sister is allergic to mushrooms
Sure…give it a try and let me know how it turns out!
Could try cream of bacon soup!
Can the cream of mushroom soup be substituted with something else I’m allergic to mushrooms
Sure. Just use cream of chicken instead.
This looks crazy good & so simple! I can’t wait to try this!
I make a version using part ground beef and part ground Italian sausage , then instead of the tomatoes and jalepeno and chili powder after all is cooked and melted I had a jar 16 ozs. of mild or hot picante sauce. If I use hot italian sausage I use mild picante if I use sweet italian I use hot picante.
