Easy Christmas Punch Recipe – Alcoholic or Not

This Holiday punch recipe is always such a huge hit with family and guests for any Holiday party. This can be made in no time with simple ingredients and easy steps to follow. You will have everyone coming to ask you how to make this delicious punch recipe. If you don’t drink alcohol or have kids, you can easily leave out the booze to make non alcoholic holiday punch.

We also have a Christmas Morning Punch that is perfect for breakfast or Holiday brunch.

Key Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Juice: I use a blend of cranberry juice cocktail and pomegranate juice for the recipe and to add some carbonation, I use some ginger ale.
  • Malibu Rum: I use this to add a twist to the punch, but this can be left out if you plan on serving to children.
  • Ice cream: This will not only add a vanilla to the recipe but can also act as ice for a cooling effect.
  • Fruit: Use limes, pomegranate seeds fresh or packaged, and whole cranberries for more flavor.

How To Make Holiday Punch

  • Step 1. Pour the cranberry juice, ginger ale, pomegranate juice, Malibu rum, ice, and ice cream into a large pitcher with a spout (or punch bowl) and combine. Clean and pat dry the limes before cutting them into slices and adding them to the mixture. Clean the cranberries and put your desired amount into the pitcher for garnish.
  • Step 2. In a small dish, place the pomegranate seeds with a spoon for serving. These can be added to the base of the glasses or cups. Arrange the sprigs of rosemary on the glasses for garnish and allow you or your guests to serve it.

Variations For Holiday Punch:

You can use some of the substitutions below to alter the recipe to your liking or if you need something:

  • If you don’t have ginger ale, you can use plain seltzer, sprite, or lemon-lime soda.
  • Alcohol: Switch up the alcohol to vodka or whiskey.
  • Non-Alcoholic Version: just simply leave out the alcohol.
  • You can add red food coloring to make the punch even more vibrant.
  • Instead of vanilla ice cream, you can use orange sherbet.

Tips & Tricks

  • Pitcher: I used a 2-gallon large drink dispenser to put this punch in. If you use a smaller pitcher, I recommend cutting this recipe in half or leaving the rest for later when needed. Feel free to use a large punch bowl.
  • Storing: You will need store the recipe in the fridge until you are ready to serve, you could even chill this recipe in the freezer and make popsicles using molds.
