Irish Pasta
This Irish Pasta is the perfect St. Patrick’s Day dinner. Heck, it’s a great dinner anytime! This is a great pasta recipe for the whole family and is a great one pot dish for a busy week night dinner.

- 3 cups macaroni
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 onion diced
- 4 oz tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp. Thyme
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. pepper
- 8 oz frozen peas
- 12 oz can diced fire roasted w/ garlic tomatoes
Boil the macaroni in water (according to package directions) until al dente and reserve one cup of pasta water.
Place the frozen peas in a bowl to thaw, set to the side.
In a large sauce pan over medium heat, begin to brown ground beef.
Drain the excess juice off the meat and place it back in the pan. Add diced onions cook the mixture until the onions are translucent.
Reduce the heat to low, and add in the seasonings, tomatoes, and tomato sauce.
Add your pasta and reserved water, toss to combine.
Add the peas and lightly toss.
Cover with a lid and cook for 7 minutes on low to medium heat, making sure to stir frequently.
