Gingerbread Snowflake Cookies

These Gingerbread Snowflake Cookies are not just beautiful but absolutely delicious! A great addition to your holiday cookie platter, these are worth every minute working to bake and decorate them.

Equipment

  • snowflake cookie cutters ranging in sizes from small to large
  • 1 disposable piping bag with number 2 tip

Icing

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 and line cookie sheet with parchment paper
  • Using a standing mixer, beat together the butter, sugar, and molasses
  • Add in the water and mix until combined
  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, and the spices
  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients into the wet
  • Roll dough out on a floured surface to 1/4 inch in thickness
  • Using snowflake cookie cutters, cut out your shapes
  • Bake in the oven for 10 minutes
  • Allow to cool completely

Icing

  • Using the standing mixer, combine the egg whites, cream of tarter, vanilla and powder sugar and mix until combined and stiff peaks form
  • Scoop icing into the piping bag
  • Decorate your cookies how ever you want.
  • Sprinkle the white sanding sugar onto a plate
  • Dip the cookie, icing into the sugar
  • Place onto a cookie sheet to allow dry for 30 minutes before enjoying.
