Teacher Appreciation Gift - Chalkboard S'mores with FREE Printable!

Tomorrow is National S’mores Day & my boys started back to school this week so we thought it would be fun to make these Chalkboard S’mores for my boys teachers at school! They turned out so cute & are so easy to put together! We also included a FREE printable that we made for you to make these as well! These would also be fun to make the kids for a fun after school treat & you can write anything you would like on the chocolate board.

Back to School Chalkboard S'mores

My 2 older boys started 2nd & 4th grade this year and they are so excited about their teachers. They are both so sweet & I know they will have a great year. We wanted to make something different & special for them to start of the year & we hope they like them!:)

Steps to Make the Chalkboard S'mores

Back to School Chalkboard S’mores

1 Large Hershey’s Chocolate Bar
S’mores Marshmallows (Jet-Puffed)
Graham Crackers (we used Honey Maid)
Powdered Sugar
Chocolate Cookie Frosting
Toothpick
Free Printable (below)
Baggies (regular sandwich size)

Start out by writing whatever you would like on the back of the Hershey’s chocolate bar using a toothpick. We broke our large Hershey’s bar into 4 separate pieces to make these. I am pretty sure the idea of writing on chocolate like this came from Lindsey Ann of Dollhouse Bake Shoppe. This way it really looks like chalk…great idea!

Brush the extra powdered sugar off with a paper towel….

Measure a graham cracker to the chocolate & cut the graham cracker to fit using a knife. Squeeze some of the chocolate cookie frosting on the graham cracker. We cut the s’mores marshmallows in half and place them on top. Squeeze more of the chocolate frosting on top then place on the chocolate bar….

We then broke graham cracker pieces at the seems & cut the edges to fit the sides. Do this with a couple then use those as guides to cut the rest…..

Attach the graham cracker pieces on the sides using the chocolate frosting. It should look like this….

My husband said…how can they both be the #1 teacher? Well…my boys insisted each of their teachers are #1 so I don’t think they will be questioning this!:)

What a fun way to combine a candy bar chalkboard with s'mores. Pinning!

Thanks so much Jill, it was so yummy.I hope to change the wording up and use it as a Meet and Greet treat for kids next year. I was wondering how you did the writing. Thanks again, I am one lucky teacher.

Oh my goodness… These s'more treats are amazing! Great idea using powdered sugar to write on the Hersey bar. So cute! I will have to make some if tomorrow is National S'more day. Thanks for sharing!

How adorable! What a creative idea to etch into the chocolate and then cover with powdered sugar. When I saw the pic I was wondering how you got the words on there, that is so neat! Great job as usual!!
