These Bat Twinkies are a super fun Halloween treat to make with kids. It’s a fun and easy way to make a festive Halloween dessert without having to bake! Plus, everyone loves Twinkies!

How To Make Bat Twinkies

  1. Unwrap the Twinkies and place onto the cookie sheet
  2. Place into the freezer for 10 minutes
  3. Using a double boiler, melt the chocolate and stir until smooth
  4. Dip the frozen Twinkie into the melted milk chocolate and fully coat
  5. Once all have been fully coated with the chocolate, set aside
  6. Place two edible eyes onto the top part of the Twinkie
  7. Scoop the rest of the melted chocolate into the piping bag and cut a small part of the tip
  8. On a bare part of the cookie sheet, pipe out 8 ‘wings’ for the bats
  9. Place cookie sheet into the fridge for 20 minutes so that chocolate can harden
  10. Once the 20 minutes is up, lightly peel of the wings and insert them into the sides, creating your bat!

How much fun are these?? I can’t wait to make a mess in the kitchen with my kiddos creating these.

Bat Twinkies

These Halloween Spider Cookies are so much fun! If you’re looking for something to get your kids into the kitchen with you this is perfect. The kiddos can create their own spiders!

Prep: 10 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box of chocolate twinkies
  • 1 bag of Ghirardelli melting milk chocolate
  • 1 cookie sheet fitted with wax paper
  • 1 package of small edible eyes
  • 1 disposable piping bag

Instructions

  • Unwrap the twinkies and place onto the cookie sheet
  • Place into the freezer for 10 minutes
  • Using a double boiler, melt the chocolate and stir until smooth
  • Dip the frozen twinkie into the melted milk chocolate and fully coat
  • Once all have been fully coated with the chocolate set aside
  • Place two edible eyes onto the top part of the twinkie for the eyes
  • Scoop the rest of the melted chocolate into the piping bag and cut a small part of the tip
  • On a bare part of the cookie sheet, pipe out 8 ‘wings’ for the bats
  • Place cookie sheet into the fridge for 20 minutes so that chocolate can harden
  • Once the 20 minutes is up, lightly peel of the wings and insert them into the sides, creating your bat!
