Kitchen Fun With My 3 Sons

Disclaimer: This post may contain affiliate links.

We are on day 5 of our Star Wars goodies and will be sharing the rest of our Star Wars party food this upcoming week. We will have everything in one post by the end of the week linking to the how tos. We made C3PO out of Oreos and called them C3P”Oreos”. The kids really liked this one!

We decided to put ours on pops, but you could just leave them as is. We started out by melting yellow candy melts (you can get them at Michaels, Walmart, etc…). We opened up the Oreos. We dipped the tip of the lollipop stick in the candy melts and then pressed in the middle of the oreo. Put the top Oreo cookie on and let dry. When dry then dip them in the candy melts and place on wax paper to dry.

We premade the eyes by cutting a caramel bit in half and pressing into shape with our fingers. We then pressed a black round candy in the middle. You could also use a mini chocolate chip. The carmel bits are made by Kraft and look like this…

Here are the eyes before we put them on…

Press on the eyes while the candy melts are still soft so they sink in just a bit. Let that set. Then melt the reserved candy melts and scoop in a bag (or baggie) to pipe on the details. We used black cookie frosting to make the mouth.
