Chocolate Heart Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe
Classic Peanut Butter Blossoms are peanut butter cookies with a Hershey’s Kiss in the center. With these cookies, the decadent factor is turned up. Instead of a kiss in the center of the cookie, this cookie uses a Reese Peanut Butter Cup Heart. These mini Reese’s cups are perfect on this cookie. The peanut butter cookie topped with a peanut butter cup heart makes these the best Valentine’s Day Cookies.

Ingredients You’ll Need
- Unsalted butter
- Sugar
- Brown sugar
- Peanut butter
- Shortening
- Egg
- Flour
- Baking soda
- Baking powder
- Salt
- Reese Peanut Butter Hearts
How to Make Valentine Peanut Butter Cookies
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Using a mixture, beat together the butter, sugar, brown sugar and shortening.
- Add in the egg and beat well.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder and salt.
- Slowly add in the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until mixed well.
- Using a ice cream scoop, scoop cookie dough into your hands and roll into a ball.
- Roll dough into the sugar and then place onto the cookie sheet. Do this with the rest of the dough.
- Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes.
- Once the cookies are done, pull them out of the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
- Place a Reese’s Peanut Butter Heart into the cookie and let them cool thoroughly.

Chocolate Heart Peanut Butter Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup unsalted sweet cream butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 24 Reese Peanut Butter Hearts unwrapped
- 1 cup sugar to roll the peanut butter cookies in
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Place parchment paper onto a cookie sheet and set aside.
- Using a standing mixer, cream together the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and shortening and mix until combined.
- Add in the egg and mix until combined.
- In a large bowl, using a whisk mix in the flour, baking powder and salt.
- Gradually add in the flour mixture into the wet mixture until combined.
- Using a ice cream scoop, scoop some cookie dough into your hands and roll into a ball.
- Roll cookie dough ball into the sugar and then place onto the cookie sheet.
- Repeat the steps for 11 more cookie dough balls.
- Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes.
- Once pulled out of the oven, place cookies onto a wire rack to cool.
- Let the cookies cool for a few minutes and then place Reese’s Peanut Butter Heart into the cookie.
- Repeat steps with remaining dough.
