The Ingredients

Here’s what you’ll need to make the Creamy Grape Salad (the exact measurements and full recipe instructions are below in the easy to print recipe card):

  • Cream cheese – we used regular, full-fat cream cheese, but you could use reduced fat if you prefer.
  • Sour cream – again, we used and prefer full-fat sour cream for flavor.
  • Granulated sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • Red seedless grapes – the mixture of red and green grapes makes this salad really pretty! Do be sure to use seedless grapes.
  • Green seedless grapes
  • Brown sugar – you can use either dark or light brown sugar. This sprinkled on top of the salad adds texture and flavor.
  • Pecans – we used toasted pecans.

How to Make Creamy Grape Salad

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla together with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

Be sure to wash your grapes really well and then dry them. I laid them out and dried them on towels. If the grapes are wet the dressing won’t stick well.

Can I Cut the Grapes?

Parents of little ones know that whole grapes can be difficult for small mouths to chew. If you’ll have kids or people who might prefer their grapes cut, you can slice them before mixing with the dressing. Just be aware that the grapes will very quickly begin to release juices into the salad, which will mess with the texture. If cutting the grapes, be sure to serve the salad immediately.

How to Store Leftovers

Keep the leftover grape salad in an airtight food storage container and refrigerate for up to three days. Stir well before serving again.

I tried this from a restaurant here in town so I had to find a recipe to make it at home. I tried this one and it is so good!!! I am addicted to this salad!

One of our favorites! Sometimes I just make the “dressing” and we dip all kinds of fruit in it. If I go too long without making it my son will remind me that it’s been a while since I’ve made grape salad. Hint hint

I made this and it was a big hit!! I got more than 8 servings. To calculate nutrition correct. What do you consider a serving size?

This has always been a great hit at parties as a delicious dish to pass! And so easy to make last minute. ❤

  5. It was fabulous but the cream cheese did not smooth it looked like cottage cheese so I threw it away and started over. It did the same thing. Does anyone know why?

Grape salad is one of our favorites!!!   I have started using full fat Greek yogurt in place of the sour cream and my group likes it a little better.  Adding a splash of “healthy” into our dessert!
