Easter Bunny Cookies

This is what we came up this year for our bunny cookies. We made them super easy and I love how they are protected with the marshmallows from getting messed up when you stack them to transport! We made sugar cookies and used a heart shaped cookie cutter, white frosting, pink jelly beans, chocolate chips, large egg shaped marshmallows, large white marshmallows, and mini marshmallows.

We started out making our whiskers by piping our melted chocolate chips onto wax paper. We then added our jelly bean for the nose. You could however skip this and just pipe the chocolate onto the bunny face when the cookies are done. Make your favorite sugar cookie recipe. Our friends at http://twochicksfromthesticks.com/blogs/ have some great sugar cookie recipes. Cut the cookies out with your heart shaped cookie cutter. Cool, flip them upside down, and then frost them with your white frosting.

For the face…cut your pink large marshmallow egg in half and put them on top for the ears sticky side down. Put on your whiskers and chocolate chip eyes. Cut a mini marshmallow in half for the teeth.

For the back side…cut your pink large marshmallow in half and put them on top for the ears sticky side down. Cut your large white marshmallow in half and place on the bottom sticky side down for the tale.

If you can not find large egg shaped marshmallows..just get large white regular marshmallows and cut them in half. Shape them into ears and you can dip the sticky side in pink sprinkles. A great cookie for your kids class Easter party! We hope that you like them!
