Frozen 2 is going to be released in 2019 and I’m already excited to see Elsa and Anna again. Here’s hoping that there will be another great song for kids and adults everywhere to sing at the top of their lungs.

Frozen 2 Has a New Release Date!

In case you were in Siberia in 2013 and somehow missed absolutely everyone, everywhere singing “Let It Go,” allow me to remind you. You can listen to it here.

Frozen won two Academy Awards, a Golden Globe, and 2 Grammy Awards. It was a phenomenon.

Disney’s Frozen 2 Details

The release date is November 22. 2019.

There is no trailer for the movie yet, so we’re left to guess at details on the plotline. It’s expected that Disney would release it sometime around March.

Jennifer Lee, the co-writer of both films, said we can expect Anna and Elsa to go far away from Arendelle. No idea what that might mean, but I have no doubt it’ll be fun and exciting.

All the same people and the same voices are onboard. The incredible Idina Menzel will again be Elsa’s voice and Kristen Bell will be Anna.

More Disney Films Being Releases in 2019

It’s a very big year for Disney films! Some of their very best stories are going to be revisited, so it’s an exciting time to be a Disney Fan.

If I were you, I’d go ahead and start planning some fun things for your family around these release dates. You could build a whole weekend of family fun for each one.

In the meantime, definitely gather the kids up to watch the other versions of each film.

And by the way, you can bet kids everywhere are going to want some of these movies as their birthday party themes. If you were a parent in 2013 and tried to buy so much as a paper plate with Elsa on it, you know how crazy it can be.

Keep your eye out for anything with these themes.

Dumbo – March 29th

IMBD description: A young elephant, whose oversized ears enable him to fly, helps save a struggling circus, but when the circus plans a new venture, Dumbo and his friends discover dark secrets beneath its shiny veneer.

You can rent the original Dumbo movie on YouTube for $2.99. If you haven’t seen it before, you should know it can be a little gut-wrenching at times – a classic tear-jerker.

Aladdin – May 24th

IMBD description: A live-action retelling of the 1992 Disney film of the same name.

I’m having a difficult time finding any place to rent the original Alladin. If you find one, please share in the comments.

Toy Story 4 – June 21st

IMBD description: When a new toy called “Forky” joins Woody and the gang, a road trip alongside old and new friends reveals how big the world can be for a toy.

You can rent all the Toy Story movies on Amazon.

The Lion King – July 19th

IMBD description: CGI re-imagining of the 1994 Disney classic.

I’m having a difficult time finding any place to rent the original The Lion King. If you find one, please share in the comments.

Artemis Fowl – August 9th

IMBD description: Artemis Fowl II, a young Irish criminal mastermind, kidnaps the fairy LEPrecon officer Holly Short for ransom to fund the search for his missing father in order to restore the family fortune.

Artemis Fowl is a character from a bestselling series of books by author Eoin Colfer.

If you’d like to get your kids started on the books prior to the movie release, you can purchase them on Amazon or even better, visit your local library.

The books are:

Artemis Fowl, The Arctic Incident, The Eternity Code, The Opal Deception, The Lost Colony, The Time Paradox, The Atlantis Complex, and finally, The Last Guardian.

Frozen 2

As I mentioned, at the time of this writing we still don’t have an official plot line or even a teaser. I’m so curious!

Are there hardcore Frozen lovers in your life? Who was their favorite character?
