This Guinness Chocolate Cake recipe is going to become one of your favorite St Patrick’s Day desserts, and honestly, it is so good, you might decide to make it all year long. The Guinness gives the chocolate cake such a unique flavor and the carbonation helps to create a light and fluffy cake.

Celebrate St Patrick’s Day right and pair this cake with my favorite McGregor Irish Cream Cocktail.

This cake brings together the sweetness of chocolate cake with the rich taste of Guinness beer. Topped with a Guinness glaze this cake is simply amazing and should be enjoyed not just at St. Patrick’s Day but anytime you want an amazing chocolate cake recipe.

Pour the batter into the pan. Cover the pan with foil

Add 1 cup of water into the pot and then place the trivet in the Instant Pot.

Place the lid on top and seal it.

Cook the cake on manual high pressure button for 35 minutes.

Once the timer goes off, vent the steam and once the pressure is released, remove the lid.

Remove the cake pan and place it on a wire rack to cool completely.

Guinness Chocolate Cake before glaze

Once the cake has cooled, remove it from the bundt pan and place onto a wire rack that is placed over a cookie sheet.
Next make the glaze. Using a mixing bowl, mix together the ingredients until it is well combined.

Pour the glaze over the cake and allow it to set.

Cut and enjoy!

What Size Bundt Pan Fits in the Instant Pot?

What size bundt pan fits into your Instant Pot will differ depending on the make and model, however, under most circumstances, a 6 inch bundt pan fits best in the inner pot of the Instant Pot.

Can I Bake This Guinness Bundt Cake in the Oven?

If you prefer to make this Guinness Bundt Cake in the oven rather than in the Instant Pot, you certainly can. Make the batter the same as you would when making this cake in the Instant Pot. You will bake the cake in the same size pan for 40 minutes at 350 degrees. This will give a delicious and moist cake, just like you get with the Instant Pot. You will then prepare the glaze and finish the recipe the same.
