Kitchen Fun With My 3 Sons

Kitchen Fun & Crafty Friday link party #105

Disclaimer: This post may contain affiliate links.
We have had the craziest week ever!  My 3 year old broke his femur bone in his upper left thigh this past Saturday at a playground & will be in a Spica cast from his chest to his ankle for 6 weeks!  We have a lot of adjusting to do & it has been very challenging. It’s just so awful to see your kids go through any pain & that is definitely a very painful break. I  am amazed at how tough my little guy is & also so proud of him for how brave he is.  Please keep us in your prayers…it’s going to be a very long upcoming 6 weeks!
He picked out orange & blue so he must know that his mommy is a big Broncos fan!:) A bucket of Thomas toys was exactly what he needed to put a big smile back on his face yesterday!
It’s time for our Kitchen Fun & Crafty Friday link party & we can not wait to see what you have been up to this past week!

  1. Oh dear! The sight of that cast on your little guy makes me want to cry! Poor little dear! My son broke his femur of his left leg too and had the very same cast. But he was very young and he got his cast off in 2 weeks even though they told us 4-6 weeks as well. Little ones heal much faster than adults. I hope you are taking care of yourself too and getting some rest! Sending love and hugs! Angie xo

  2. Oh dear….I will pray that the next 6 weeks go quickly. Sending your little prayers for a quick recovery! Thanks for hosting such a wonderful party.

  12. kids are amazing when it comes to resilience-i see it over and over in my experience as a pediatric nurse. it's us adults who have a hard time dealing but keep praying, keep creating fun food, and keep smiling! the 1st week's the toughest but stay strong and keep playing with Thomas and the gang cuz they'll bring him through. love and prayers to you all! ๐Ÿ™‚
