Mummy Burgers & Mashed BOOtatoes

We were going to start coming up with Halloween food and posting them the beginning of October, but thought why not just start now! I am sure the boys would have fun making spooky food all year long!

We made these Mummy Burgers and Mashed BOOtatoes using whole wheat hamburger buns, Morning Star veggie burgers, provolone cheese, & mashed potatoes.

We fried up our burgers in a pan. We cut off some pieces from the bottom edge of the burger with kitchen scissors and set aside. Put the burger on the bun. We cut the provolone cheese in strips. Lay the cheese strips on top of the burgers leaving a opening for the eyes. Shape the mashed potatoes into ghosts. We used 2 small dots of the mashed potatoes for the mummy eyes. Take the reserved burger that was cut off and cut little pupils (for mummy). Also cut out the eyes and mouth for the ghosts.

This is SO easy and the boys thought it was awesome!
