If you have kids who use TikTok, you need to know about this new TikTok Challenge. Kids are ending up in dangerous random places in order to have strange unexplained things happen.
If you know TikTok, you know there are always challenges. The challenges can be trying to prank a parent, throwing a piece of cheese on your dog’s face, or trying to do a certain dance. The newest of these challenges has teens downloading an app that gives them random GPA coordinates and then they follow the coordinates to see a new location and then experience something strange or unexplained.
While this might sound like a fun experience for adults, this is not a situation that a teen should be. The app is called Randonautica and while the website looks simple enough, the idea is to lead the user into a random place for a random experience and not all of these experiences have a positive outcome.
Randonautica is an app that sends you on a random adventure to explore the world around you. All you have to do is share your location, set an intention, and follow directions to a random point that the app generates for you. There, the theory is, you will find something relevant to your intention.

The biggest concern is why the app is sending these kids. And who might be there. The kids could get injured, kidnapped or worse.

This app seems like a scary unsafe experience for kids and it defintately something parents should talk with their kids about.
