How To Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie
Oreo Crust
We use double stuffed Oreos to make this crust, but regular is fine to use as well. Peanut butter Oreos would also be a nice addition for all of you PB fanatics! Leaving out the M&M’s is also fine, we just like having this addition.
Pulse the Oreos into fine crumbs then mix in the melted butter and mini M&M’s. Place in the fridge to firm.
Peanut Butter Pie Filling
This peanut butter filling is deliciously rich. It’s made with just 4 ingredients including peanut butter, cream cheese and Cool Whip. The peanut butter flavor really stands out in this filling and has such a smooth texture.
Chocolate Ganache
You only need 2 ingredients for the chocolate ganache topping: chocolate and heavy whipping cream. We also throw in some mini M&M’s, but this is optional.
Melt the chocolate and cream in the microwave and whisk until melted. The ganache will thicken, creating a fudge-like consistency.
Peanut Butter Frosting
This peanut butter frosting recipe is delicious adds a nice addition to this pie. Simply combine all ingredients and mix at medium speed until light and fluffy. Pipe the frosting around the edges.

I am trying to follow the recipe and I see cream cheese in the instructions, but not ingredients. I also see heavy whipping cream, not cool whip in the ingredients so I am confused.
Hi Greer. Are you looking at the recipe card? Yes, there is cream cheese in the filling as well as cool whip. The heavy whipping cream is for the ganache and the frosting.
Thanks for sharing! How far ahead of time can I make it?
I would highly suggest adding 1/4 cup of powdered sugar to the peanut butter filling. I think the filling tastes too sour without it.
I’ve made this recipe twice now it’s delicious! It’s tedious to make. It’s incredibly time consuming but it’s easy. If you’ve never made a dessert before, you can make this one. Also today, I doubled the recipe . Everything went well until I got to the frosting (which is the best part). I started with double everything except cream, which I started at 5 tsp. It was too thin so I added (bits at a time) more powdered sugar. And because so much sugar, I also added another spoonful of peanut butter. It was still thin but it worked. So.. you can double this recipe, too.
This dessert is FABULOUS! Do you think it could be converted to a 9 x 13 pan?
I love making desserts all yours look so good and alot great for holidays and fun for kids . I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THE RECIEPE FOR THE PUMPKIN CREAM CHEESE MUFFINS THANK YOU SO MUCH .. GOD BLESS
for this yummy pie .If I dont have the butter that it requires is there something else I could use to replace it
Should this be stored refrigerated or is it okay to be left out at room temp?
I like to store mine in the fridge.

Delicious!!!
Made this for Father’s Day. Turned out really well. Thanks!
Can this Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie be frozen for future use?
If I don’t have a stand mixer would a hand mixer work? I’m not sure what the difference in mixing speed, length of time mixing, etc would be. Thanks!
i love peanut butter but my friend cant have them
My hand mixer worked no problem. Just do a little at a time.
