  • Betty Crocker milk chocolate brownie mix
  • Water
  • Oil
  • Eggs
  • Chocolate frosting
  • Ghiradelli melting chocolate
  • Candy Canes

How to Make Brownie Truffles from Box Mix

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a baking pan with baking spray.
Follow the brownie directions on the box. Once the batter is made bake for 25-30 minutes.
Allow to cool completely
After the brownies have cooled, start to crumble the brownies.
Mix together with a 1/2 cup of chocolate frosting. The brownies will start to form a dough.
Use an ice cream scoop and scoop the dough into balls.
Place onto parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
Use a microwave safe bowl and melt the chocolate in 45 second increments until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
Using a fork, dip the brownie balls into the chocolate and roll until fully coated
Gently tap the edge of the bowl to remove extra chocolate.
Place the brownie ball onto a cookie sheet, then, sprinkle a little bit of the crushed candy canes on top
Do this for the rest of the brownie balls.
Allow the chocolate to harden before enjoying!

Peppermint Brownie Truffles are a simple but amazing addition to your holiday treats platter. A simple boxed mix turns into a chocolate and mint laden treat topped with crushed peppermint.

Ingredients

  • 1 - 18.4 oz box of Betty Crocker milk chocolate brownie mix
  • 3 TBSP water
  • 1/2 C oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 container of chocolate frosting
  • 1 8 oz bag of Ghiradelli melting chocolate
  • 1 C crushed Candy Canes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 13x9 baking pan with pam baking spray
  2. Follow the directions on the back of the box to prepare the brownie batter
  3. Once batter is made, pour it into the baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with few crumbs
  4. Allow to cool completely
  5. Once the brownies have cooled completely, start to crumble the brownies into a large bowl
  6. Mix in using a wooden spoon or rubber spatula, 1/2 C of the chocolate frosting
  7. Mix until the brownies start to form a dough
  8. Using the small ice cream scooper, scoop out some dough and roll into a ball
  9. Place onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet
  10. Using a large microwave safe bowl, melt the melting chocolate in increments of 45 second or until the chocolate is melted and smooth
  11. Using a fork, dip the brownie balls into the chocolate and roll until fully coated
  12. Pick up the brownie ball with the fork and lightly tap the edge of the bowl to remove extra chocolate
  13. Place brownie ball onto the cookie sheet
  14. Sprinkle a little bit of the crushed candy canes on top
  15. Repeat steps until all brownie balls have been dipped in the chocolate
  16. Allow the chocolate to harden before enjoying!
