Ingredients You’ll Need

Here’s what you’ll need to make Sausage Balls (the exact measurements and full recipe instructions are below in the easy to print recipe card):

  • Sharp cheddar cheese – it’s best to buy a block of cheddar cheese and freshly shred it for this recipe. Cheese that you buy already shredded has less moisture and doesn’t work as well when making these sausage balls.
  • Ground pork sausage – we used a mild ground sausage, but you can use any flavor you like.
  • Biscuit baking mix – we used Bisquick, but you can use any similar biscuit mix you like.
  • Milk – the milk serves to add just enough moisture to allow the mixture to be rolled into balls. Use any milk you like.
  • Dried chives – the chives are optional but add a nice flavor and a little green color.

    1. I made them with shredded cheese and just added a little more milk and it was delicious!

    1. Yes and although good I thought it was a little dry. Next time I won’t add the full 2 cups.
