Two Story Restaurants

Taco Bell is going to be the first fast food place to be two stories tall! They sure do like to defy the norms when it comes to fast food companies.

The first two-story Taco Bell will be located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota and it will be called the “Taco Bell Defy.” This new restaurant will be 3,000 square feet for the entire two stories.

Not only that but it will have four drive-thru lanes! Now you won’t have to wait forever in the drive-thru lane that stretches all around the store. No one wants that!

These drive-thru lanes will also have two-way technology with both audio and video. That way you can see the person taking your order. That will definitely help with the confusion with orders as well. I hated it when they never could understand me, this will be such a breeze!

You will also be able to order ahead of time on the app to speed up the ordering as well.

This new restaurant will be designed with Vertical Works Inc., a Minneapolis-based design company. You can expect this Taco Bell to be opened and available to the public next summer!

Taco Bell’s New Restaurants

This is not the first time Taco Bell has done something like this.

According to Mike Grams, “In 2015, we created the Taco Bell Cantina concept with an open kitchen environment in urban markets. In 2020, we introduced the Go Mobile concept much earlier than anticipated with the help of quick collaboration with franchisees just like Border Foods,” Taco Bell global COO Mike Grams says in a press release. “Partnering with our franchisees to test new concepts is a huge unlock of learning for us. What we learn from the test of this new Defy concept may help shape future Taco Bell restaurants.”

We are definitely loving all these changes to Taco Bell! Are you excited about this new one too?
