Valentine Thumbprint Cookies, dipped in white chocolate and sprinkles, with white chocolate pink hearts are so festive for the holiday.

Thumbprint cookies are some of my most favorite kinds of cookies because they are always filled with something yummy. Our Double Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies have a Hershey kiss inside, our Jam Thumbprint Cookies have raspberry jam and these Easter cookies have Cadbury eggs!

How To Make Thumbprint Cookies

  • Start by mixing together your butter and sugar until you get a fluffy mixture. Then add in the vanilla.
  • Separately, stir together the dry ingredients. Then, slowly add that to your cream mixture and blend well. Once your cookie dough is all mixed up, add in food coloring and stir.
  • Roll the dough into small balls about 1/2 in wide and place them onto parchment paper. Use your thumb to make a thumbprint in the middle. Bake for about 20 minutes.

  • When the cookies have completely cooled you can fill them with chocolate. Melt your almond bark four pieces at a time at 15 second intervals, stirring each time. Then fill the center of your cookie.
  • Next, melt more chocolate for the outside of the cookie, this time adding pink gel food coloring. Dip the cookie in the chocolate and then into sprinkles.

Make Chocolate Hearts

These pink chocolate hearts are so cute! They are also very easy to make. Simple put some of your melted chocolate in a squeeze bottle and draw the shape of a heart onto parchment paper. Let it dry and place them on top of your cookies along with a few drizzles more of chocolate.

Let them sit until hardened and enjoy!
