What Are Caramel Apples?

Granny Smith apples are dipped into gooey caramel then rolled in toffee bits and drizzled with chocolate or your other favorite toppings!

You'll need apples, caramel, and a few other ingredients to make this easy recipe. Let's get started!

What You'll Need

Dip the apples in hot water then rub off the shiny wax layer. Push wooden sticks in the top of the apples.

Prepare the Apples

Melt caramel in microwave or double boiler. Then dip the apples in caramel, allowing excess to drip off.

Dip the Apples

Add the toffee pieces to a bowl and dip in the bottom of the apples. Place on wax paper and refrigerate for a few minutes.

Add the Toffee

Melt the white and dark chocolate. Drizzle over the apples as desired, then let chill at least 30 minutes.

Add the Chocolate

Individually wrap each one with plastic or cellophane paper, and store in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Enjoy!
