Chocolate M&M Cookies

  • Line a baking pan with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, mix together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar (you can use a fork, hand mixer, or stand mixer).
  • Add the eggs and pure vanilla extract and mix well.
  • Next, stir in the unbleached flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt until combined.
  • Fold in the M&Ms and chocolate chips.
  • Use a 2 tablespoon cookie scoop to create small balls and place them about 2” apart on the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 9 minutes - do not overbake, cookies will finish baking on the pan.
  • Remove from the oven and immediately garnish with extra M&Ms and chocolate chips (optional).
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes

You can use Holiday M&Ms or any color to go with a party theme! 
Freeze dough in 2 tablespoon balls so you can bake one or two at a time as desired. 
Cookies can be stored in an airtight container for 3 days on the counter or frozen for 6 months.
