Snowman Cookies

Featuring a rich, chocolate cookie with a peppermint patty inside, these Snowman Cookies are a fun winter treat. The snowmen are created from marshmallows and white chocolate, with gum drop earmuffs and Twizzler scarves. How fun!

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper then set aside.
  • In a large bowl beat the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Next mix in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  • Next mix in the flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt and mix until a dough forms.
  • Chill for 30 minutes.
  • Separate the dough into 6 balls.
  • Place a peppermint patty in the middle of each ball and form the dough around the patty covering it completely roll back into a ball and place them on the baking sheet.
  • Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes then transfer them to a cooling rack.
  • Cool the cookies completely.
  • When ready to dip melt the white almond bark in 30-second intervals in the microwave until smooth and melted.
  • Dip the bottom of each marshmallow into the almond bark and place one on each cookie.
  • Spoon the almond bark over each marshmallow to cover it and around the bottom to create a puddle shape.
  • Repeat with each cookie.
  • Once the almond bark has set on the cookies you can decorate them.
  • I take one of the peels from the Twizzlers and wrap it around each one like a scarf.
  • I cut the orange gumdrops into a tiny triangle for the carrot nose.
  • Using the black frosting dot on 2 eyes.
  • Use the frosting to create a line across the top of each marshmallow.
  • Cut the flat bottom off of 6 red gum drops and 6 green gum drops.
  • Place the flat part of the gum drop you cut off on one side of the snowman's head and one on the other to create earmuffs.
  • Serve!
