Hawaiian Roll French toast is thick, fluffy, and sweet - everything you want in french toast but with rolls instead of bread. This is a delicious and easy breakfast recipe that is sure to become your new favorite! It gets soaked in traditional milk and egg custard and browned in butter, then finished off with fresh berries or a dusting of powdered sugar.
In a bowl whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon.
Butter the bottom of a large skillet and heat over medium heat.
Dunk each side of the rolls in the egg mixture and place them into the pan.
Cook 4 rolls at a time and cook each side of each roll for about 30 seconds before flipping. Make sure to cook each side of the roll.
Repeat with the rest of the rolls.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar, and serve with fresh berries and syrup if desired.
Notes
I love using the original hawaiian rolls for this but you can use the butter flavored ones as well.
● You can serve these with syrup or jam.
● These take no time to cook on each side so make sure you check them frequently so they dont burn.
