In a large pan, over medium heat, brown the ground beef and ground sausage.
Drain the meat and return back to the pan.
Add in velveeta cheese, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, oregano and worcestershire sauce. Return the pan to medium low heat. Continue to mix until velveeta cheese has melted completely.
Spread a tablespoon of mixture to cocktail rye bread and place on a pan lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 6 minutes or until the cheese topping is bubbling.
Top with parsley before serving if you wish.
- You can also serve the cheese mixture with tortilla chips as a dip.
- You can brown ground beef and sausage ahead of time and store in the refrigerator to use at a later date to cut down on preparation time.
- If you can’t find cocktail rye bread, regular slices of rye bread will also work.
- Store in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze in a single layer for 1 month.
