Buttercream Truffles

When it comes to truffles that melt in your mouth, Buttercream Truffles are the best! The bright white centers are prepared with cream cheese and butter, just like the beginnings of a good cake frosting! Dipped in melted milk chocolate, it’s hard to eat just one of these!

  • Using an electric mixer in a large bowl beat the butter, vanilla and milk until creamy.
  • Add the powdered sugar and beat on low until all the powdered sugar in combined. Turn the mixer up and beat on a medium high until smooth and creamy.
  • Cover the bowl and place the buttercream mixture in the refrigerator to chill for 2 hours or even overnight 24 hours.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Scoop out the buttercream with a one tablespoon scoop and roll it into a balls.
  • Place the balls on the parchment lined sheet and freeze again for 2 hours.
  • When ready to dip melt your chocolate in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second increments until melted and smooth.
  • Using 2 forks dips the frozen buttercream balls in the chocolate and gently shake off the excess chocolate and place back onto the parchment lined tray.
  • Repeat until all truffles are coated.
  • Drizzle more chocolate over the truffles and immediately sprinkle on your holiday sprinkles.
  • Let harden and serve!
