Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Make your own Mozzarella Cheese Sticks for the best tasting snack or treat. With only 6 ingredients, and oil to fry it in, it is incredibly easy to make fried cheese. One bite and you will be in melted cheese heaven.

  • Add about 2 inches of oil to heavy skillet and heat to 350 degrees F.
  • Add breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning to shallow bowl or plate and mix with fork.
  • In another shallow bowl or plate, add flour.
  • In a small bowl whisk together egg, salt, pepper and buttermilk, then add to shallow bowl or plate.
  • Dip cheese stick into egg mixture, then into flour, back into the egg mixture and then into the breadcrumbs. Press crumbs into cheese gently.
  • Add to hot oil and cook for about 2 minutes or until golden brown, turning frequently.
  • Serve immediately!
