Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt together in a large bowl.
Set aside.Put butter in a heat proof bowl.
Place in the microwave until the butter has melted.
Set aside the butter to cool slightly.
Add brown sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the melted butter.
Stir well to mix.
Stir in the egg until all ingredients have been combined.
Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture.
Mix the ingredients together using a hand mixer until just mixed.
Cover the mixing bowl with plastic wrap.
Put in the refrigerator to chill for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Line the baking sheet with a silicone mat.
With a large cookie, scoop and make cookie balls.
Position the cookie balls on the prepared baking sheet.
Space them 2 inches apart.
Put the remaining cookie balls back in the bowl, cover them, and return them to the refrigerator.
Bake only one tray of cookies at a time.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
The cookies will puff up a little bit.
You want the edges of the cookies just a slight beige.
Set the cookie sheet aside to let the cookies cool for 5 minutes.
Move the cookies to a cooling rack to cool completely.
