Reindeer Poop Cookies

Cookie Ingredients:

  • 1 C of unsalted sweet cream butter softened
  • 1 1/2 C Powder sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 3 C of flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cream of tarter
  • Cookie Cutter: circle

Red and Green Buttercream Frosting Ingredients:

  • 1 C unsalted sweet cream butter softened
  • 4-5 C powdered sugar
  • 1/4 C heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • Red and Green gel food coloring
  • 1 disposable piping bag with a large circle tip



  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside
  • Using a standing mixer, cream together the butter, powder sugar, vanilla and egg, and mix until combined and creamy
  • Using a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and cream of tarter
  • Gradually add in the dry ingredients and mix on low speed
  • Using your hands continue to mix until fully combined
  • Lightly flour a cutting board and knead the cookie dough a couple of times
  • Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick
  • Cut out 12 Circles and place onto a cookie sheet
  • Bake for 8 minutes or until lightly golden brown
  • Repeat steps until completely out of dough
  • Let cookies cool completely

Buttercream Frosting Directions:

  • Using a standing mixer, beat the butter on medium speed until creamy
  • Mix in the powdered sugar, heavy whipping cream, and vanilla extract until combined and smooth
  • If the frosting is to thin, mix in 1/4 C more of powdered sugar
  • Divide the frosting into two bowls and add green gel food coloring into one bowl
  • Add red gel food coloring into the second bowl
  • Place piping bag in the glass and fold the edges over the sides of the glass
  • Scoop the red frosting into one side of the piping bag
  • Scoop the green frosting into the other side of the piping bag
  • Pipe the frosting onto the cookies starting from the middle of the cookie and going around to the edge of the cookie
  • Allow frosting to slightly harden for an hour before enjoying!
