Apple Snickerdoodle Cookies

If you love traditional snickerdoodles, you are going to be obsessed with these amazing Applp Snickerdoodle Cookies. With similar flavors to snickerdoodles, these delicious cookies also have apples as part of the batter. These chewy cookies are simply amazing.

cookie Ingredients

  • 3 C flour
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 C unsalted butter softened
  • 1 ½ C sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large Granny Smith Apple peeled and shredded

Sugar coating

  • ¼ C sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon


Cookie Directions

  • Peel and shred the apple using a cheese grater. Place Apple shreds into a paper towel and allow the apple to dry out while you make the dough
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper
  • Using a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt
  • Using a large bowl, beat together the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until creamy
  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients
  • Fold in the shredded apples
  • In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon
  • Using a ice cream scooper, scoop some dough into your hands and roll into a ball
  • Roll the dough ball into the cinnamon sugar mixture
  • Place onto cookie sheet
  • Repeat steps with remaining dough
  • Bake in the oven for 11-13 minutes
  • Allow to cool before enjoying!
