Cheesy Bacon Bombs make an amazing snack, appetizer, or side dish that the whole family will love. Biscuit dough filled with mozzarella cheese and bacon, rolled into a ball and baked until golden brown, then basted with melted butter and herbs--these little rolls will melt in your mouth!
- 2 cans 7.5 oz. each refrigerated biscuits (the small biscuits)
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese cut into 20 cubes
- 8 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
- ¼ cup butter melted
- 1/2 teaspoon. Italian seasoning blend
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Marinara sauce for dipping optional
Preheat oven to 400°F. Very lightly spray a large baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
Open the biscuit packages and press each biscuit into a 3-inch round.
Place one cube of cheese in the center of each biscuit. Top with a heaping teaspoon of the fully cooked bacon.
Carefully wrap the biscuit dough around the cheese and bacon and seal. Place the rolls seam side down on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about an inch between each.
Bake for 10 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
Remove the biscuits from the oven and immediately brush with butter mixture. Serve warm with marinara sauce.
