Homemade Dog Treats

Homemade Dog Treats are probably much easier to make than you thought. I like to make my own recipes because I know exactly what ingredients are in them and there are no chemicals or preservatives. Just a healthy, yummy snack for my pup.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • ¼ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

Directions:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, eggs, pumpkin, peanut butter, salt, and cinnamon. Stir the ingredients together until they form into soft dough.
  • Remove the dough from the bowl, and gently knead it into a ball shape. Place the ball of dough onto a lightly floured surface. (use whole wheat flour). Roll the dough into a large circle, about ½ inch in thickness.
  • Use your favorite cookie cutter shape, or cut into squares using a pizza cutter. Place pieces onto a baking sheet, lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the treats are firm.

Notes

This recipe makes 48-60 small biscuits and 24-30 larger biscuits.
