  • 1 ½ cups biscuit baking mix I used Bisquick
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup water
  • 2 eggs slightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Assorted toppings of choice: powdered sugar, strawberries, raspberries, bananas, whipped cream, ice cream, additional chocolate chips, chocolate syrup, etc.

    • Heat waffle maker.
    • Into a large bowl, sift the biscuit mix to get rid of any lumps. Stir in sugar and cocoa powder.
    • Add in water, eggs, oil, and vanilla; mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips until well combined.
    • Spray hot waffle iron with cooking spray. Pour batter into the waffle maker until the bottom plate is just barely covered completely (about ¾ cup). Cook for about 2 minutes or until firm.
    • Carefully remove waffles and serve with toppings if desired.
