This 3-Ingredient Apple Dump Cake may be the easiest fall dessert ever! Just dump cake mix, pie filling, and butter in a baking dish, pop it in the oven, and enjoy.

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • Prepare a 9x13 inch casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
  • Pour all the apple pie filling into the bottom of the dish and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle the entire package of cake mix evenly over the apple pie filling.
  • Melt the butter in the microwave and drizzle it over the top of the cake mix covering as much as you are able.
  • Do not stir. The leveling of the ingredients is what makes this work.
  • Place the cake in the oven and cook for 35-40 minutes or until it is bubbling around the edges and the cake on top is dry.
  • Serve immediately with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream or caramel sauce!

Notes

Cover and store leftover apple dump cake in the fridge for 3-4 days.
