Equipment

  • 1 medium piping bag with a star tip

Ingredients

Strawberry Frosting

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup strawberries diced into small pieces
  • 3 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 - 5 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup Whipped Cream Cool whip or Homemade

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9x13 baking dish with pam baking spray.
  • Using a large bowl, beat the strawberry cake mix, water, eggs, and canola oil until combined and smooth.
  • Pour half of the batter into the baking dish.
  • Place 8 unwrapped twinkies into the strawberry cake batter.
  • Pour remaining batter over the twinkies.
  • Bake in the oven for 30 - 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  • Allow cooling completely.

Strawberry frosting directions :

  • Using a standing mixer, beat all ingredients together until combined and smooth
  • Spread the frosting smoothly onto the top of the cake

Decorating

  • Scoop the whipped cream into the piping bag.
  • Pipe dollops of whipped cream onto the cake.
  • Top with fresh sliced strawberries.
  • Cut and serve!
