- 2 cups brown rice
- 2 pounds ground turkey
- 2 cups spinach finely chopped
- 1 cup carrots finely shredded
- 1 zucchini finely shredded
- 1 12 ounce package frozen green beans (cooked according to package directions)
- ½ cup low sodium chicken broth
- Pinch salt
Cook the brown rice according to the package instructions and set aside.
In a large skillet, cook the turkey over medium heat, breaking apart into small pieces until cooked through and no longer pink.
Once fully cooked, add the rice, chopped spinach, shredded carrots, shredded zucchini, green beans, chicken broth and a pinch of salt to the turkey and stir to combine.
Cook everything over medium heat until the spinach wilts and the other vegetables become tender. Approximately 3-5 minutes.
Once finished, allow it to cool completely before storing or serving to your fuzzy friend.
- Be mindful whenever changing your pet's diet, as it can cause loose stools. It’s best to transition slowly.
- Make sure to store the food in an airtight container in the refrigerator within 2 hours of cooking.
- It will stay fresh for up to 4 days—if it lasts that long!
- Beware that once you feed your dog this food, they will turn their nose up to everything else!
