- 1 pound asparagus ends trimmed
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon coarse kosher salt
- 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/8 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
- 2 tablespoons parsley
Preheat the oven to 425° F.
Clean and cut the ends of the asparagus off.
Add the asparagus to 2 parchment paper lined 9x13 baking sheets.
Top the asparagus with avocado oil, butter, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and thyme. With clean hands toss the asparagus in the seasonings.
Bake for 8-14 minutes depending on the thickness of the asparagus and if you like your asparagus al dente or softer.
Remove the baking sheets from the oven.
Top the asparagus with the parmesan cheese and parsley.
You can also top it with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if you like.
