Bacon Cheese Fries

These loaded Cheese Fries have crispy bacon, melted cheese, and a delicious homemade jalapeno ranch - a favorite side dish or shareable appetizer.

  • Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper and add the bag of frozen French fries in a single layer.
  • Bake the French fries according to package directions.
  • Chop the bacon and add to a frying pan. Cook on medium until the bacon is cooked and crumbly. Remove to a paper towel to drain.
  • Next, add the sour cream, cilantro, 2 Tablespoons of the diced jalapeno, lime juice, salt, onion powder and garlic powder to a food processor.
  • Process the ingredients on high until it is smooth and fully integrated.
  • Once the French fries are done baking, set them aside and reset the oven temperature to 400 degrees.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the French fries and then sprinkle on the bacon.
  • Place the French fries back into the oven and cook for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Once finished, remove from the oven and drizzle on the jalapeno ranch (if desired) and sprinkle on the diced jalapeno.
  • Add any additional toppings and serve hot.
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, chives, freshly diced tomatoes, banana peppers, black olives, etc.
