- 2 cups water (to heat in pot)
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 lemons (or 1 cup of lemon juice)
- 4 cups water (for pitcher)
- fresh mint and lemon slices for garnish (optional)

In a medium-sized pot, mix 2 cups of water with the sugar.
Warm on the stove and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved and the water is thicker.
In a separate bowl or using a juicer, squeeze the juice from the lemons and run it through a sieve to remove any pits.
Add the lemon juice to the pitcher.
Add the sugar water mixture to the lemon juice.
Add the remaining water to the pitcher and stir until mixed evenly.
Add ice, lemon slices, and mint as desired.
