Ingredients Needed
2-ingredients plus water is all you need to make this fresh lemonade!
- Lemons – You need fresh lemons. I use about 4 lemons (about 1 cup).
- Sugar – Used with water to make the simple syrup.
- Garnish (optional) – I like to add mint and more lemon slices to garnish.
How To Make Homemade Lemonade
You start with a simple syrup of water and sugar, then add fresh lemon juice and water!
- Add 2 cups of water with the sugar in a medium-sized pot and heat on the stove until the sugar dissolves completely and the water is thicker.
- Juice the lemons into a separate bowl using a juicer. Run the juice through a sieve and take out any of the pulp.
- Pour the freshly-squeezed juice into a pitcher along with the sugar water mixture. Pout in the rest of the cold water and combine until fully incorporated. Add in the ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices and mint. Chill, serve and enjoy!
Storing Lemonade
This homemade lemonade recipe can last up to 7 days in the fridge when stored properly. You can store in mason jars or in a pitcher with an airtight lid.
