  • 1 box of chocolate twinkies
  • 1 bag of Ghirardelli melting milk chocolate
  • 1 cookie sheet fitted with wax paper
  • 1 package of small edible eyes
  • 1 disposable piping bag

  • Unwrap the twinkies and place onto the cookie sheet
  • Place into the freezer for 10 minutes
  • Using a double boiler, melt the chocolate and stir until smooth
  • Dip the frozen twinkie into the melted milk chocolate and fully coat
  • Once all have been fully coated with the chocolate set aside
  • Place two edible eyes onto the top part of the twinkie for the eyes
  • Scoop the rest of the melted chocolate into the piping bag and cut a small part of the tip
  • On a bare part of the cookie sheet, pipe out 8 'wings' for the bats
  • Place cookie sheet into the fridge for 20 minutes so that chocolate can harden
  • Once the 20 minutes is up, lightly peel of the wings and insert them into the sides, creating your bat!
