Sweet and Sour Kielbasa

Sweet and Sour Kielbasa is a delicious recipe that combines sweet peppers with tart pineapple to create a flavor explosion. It’s baked to perfection in the oven with minimal prep time.

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  • To a large mixing bowl combine your ketchup, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce.
  • To the bowl add the kielbasa, onion, red bell pepper, green bell pepper and pineapple chunks.
  • Stir everything to combine.
  • Add everything to a 9x13 baking dish.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes, stirring once or twice. 
  • You want to cook the sausage until it gets nice and glazy and caramelized.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • This makes a great dinner over a bed of rice.
  • You can use your favorite sausage for this, andouille would be great or even turkey smoked sausage. 
  • You can use honey instead of brown sugar if you like.
